Fragments of Savannah
This piece is created using reclaimed materials collected from Savannah, including old doors, bricks, and local construction leftovers. The design reflects the city’s history, decay, and renewal.
Each material carries traces of past life—weathered textures, broken surfaces, and marks of time. By combining them into a functional table, I explore themes of transformation, memory, and identity.
The contrast between solid brick, aged wood, and clear acrylic symbolizes how old and new coexist in Savannah. This work is part of my ongoing research on balancing natural materials, architectural fragments, and contemporary furniture design.

World in Lamp
World in Lamp — Product Design
This work explores environmental destruction and the future relationship between humans and animals. I created four lamps inspired by the four seasons, each containing a miniature world with endangered species.
I studied declining animal populations and imagined what would happen if animals suddenly grew larger—would they resist humans or coexist with us? The lamp bulb represents the sun, and the people below observe an uncertain future.

Rebirth
This project is inspired by the 2020 Australian mountain fire. Many trees were destroyed, but new buds growing on burned trunks showed a powerful sense of rebirth. I used charred wood as the main material to express how nature regenerates after destruction.
The design combines burned timber with elements of broad-leaved epiphyllum to show the balance between brilliance and ruin, and how life continues to grow after disaster.
